Who knows if we will even get the C2 before C3 is out!

Mostafa Ahmad, 29 Jun 2022Waste of money, €1100 for an IPS LCD 95% DCI P3 We can buy... moreIts a full Full array local dimming monitor. Sony calls Qled as triluminous. If the monitor is triluminous its Qled as well. Like their x80j TV, thats a quantam dot TV. Samsung market their Quantam dot display as Qled and those manufacturer (TCL, Hisense etc) who source it from Samsung also call it Qled.

Anonymous, 29 Jun 2022Sony only makes great headphones and game consoles.TVs too. Cameras as well. Their phones, although not popular, are technically great and unique.

As per Hardware Unboxed, Inzone M9 is a surprise great monitor. With thanks to Alienware and now Sony, 4K gaming monitor prices will finally get reduced to the intended and cheaper price.

We can buy an OLED TV or QLED one, at least OLED monitor, we see that Alienware annonce a monitor like this but with latest technology QD OLED.

1100 euros is the new LG C2 TV. I would chose it over this monitor.

[deleted post]No, these prices are ridiculous no matter where in the world you are.

Maybe Sony is trying to copy Audio Technica's pricing strategy, where the MSRP is skyhigh in order to encourage retailers to stock their products. A $250 AT headset often wholesales for $120.

I think the missing link is that Sony does not value engineer like Audio Technica. They can sell a store a $120 headset to list for $200, because it truly competes with everyone else's $180 wholesale headset, if not exceeds.

These headsets look terribly uncomfortable, the KVM functionality on displays is now a common feature. Maybe 2 or 3 years ago, this would have been a $900 monitor. At the moment, you can get everything Sony has to offer for $450, including the KVM functionality.

nanochippie, 29 Jun 2022where is the 1440p option at 165 Hz or more?Yeah, a 1440p monitor with a 240 Hz would be more interesting than 4K/144 or 1080p/240.
