paying to change the icon, as if you couldn't already do it on Android, as well as still getting ads and only getting experimental and beta features.
They're essentially charging you to be a test user.
And they're still providing the worst Photo and Video quality out of all camera based social media apps

Wongwatt, 29 Jun 2022Yeah, hateful practice that sees you having to pay for mult... moreI am an American.
Welcome to the somewhat-average mindset of the American teen. Showoff. Nothing but show-off. To be accepted. To have an iPhone. You get kind-of humiliated if you have an android in high school since the average android user here either has a top-of-the-line Samsung Galaxy or an A32/A52 (literallly the only "mid-range" smartphone that's sold here and not all, but many people see them as "poor people phones" here), since our choice of smartphones are limited to only Samsung, Apple (highest-selling phone in the country), Google, Oneplus, TCL, and a couple of budget Nokias. Snapchat is an AMERICA-ONLY thing, and by that I mean it will only do so well in America, no where else in the world. I use it personally, and I am not surprised people from outside of the US think Snapchat is a "dumb" app because of the ads and stuff.
The A-series Samsungs are sold for around $300USD-$500USD Depending on the model. The "midrangers" here in the US are, as one person said on GSMArena, "disgustingly overpriced".
In the US, you either get an iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy or A-series. Nothing else. A midranger like the A52 is seen as a "broke person phone", or a "budget phone". A phone that costs around $600USD-$750USD is considered a "midranger" here in the US. Money speaks here, and if you get a phone that costs more than at least $850, ESPECIALLY a top-of-the-line-equvalent iPhone like the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max, you are considered "rich", and those iPhones are seen as "fast and smooth." Seriously. That's why Americans (apparently) like iPhones.
And pay attention to what I'm about to say right now: If you buy the most expensive, most powerful MAINSTREAM android you can buy here (ex. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra or future flagships), it's considered "pointless" by many Americans since:
1. It needs to work well on specific social media apps. Snapchat is one of them. People get iPhones here because they say that iPhone cameras are better on Snapchat than androids ar

Mahmood Albraim, 29 Jun 2022So you pay and you still have ads? Thankfully I don't ... moreI've stopped using Snapchat as soon as they put ads in the 'stories', even with notifications they'll send non stop even if not in use. Shameful.

Lol, 29 Jun 2022They all think we got spare money for them each month ?
Yo... moreYeah, hateful practice that sees you having to pay for multiple subs to get something new to watch.
But this is worse, subscription to “change the app icon” and other such rubbish is clearly aimed at younger users who “need” to be able to do it to be in the crowd.
Awful, hateful policy.

Little cash here little cash there.
Those companies thinks we are multibilionaries with value of our goods equal or better to Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg.
Soon we will pay even for oxygen we breath, when even something like water, gas, electricity and many else given by nature should be for free.

This is incredibly stupid, imagine paying ,,premium" and you still see ads. The features are absolutely useless.
