ARM unveils Cortex-X3 (+25% peak performance) and Cortex-A715 (+20% efficiency)

These are second generation ARMv9 design and both are 64-bit only. The little A510 core has no successor yet, but small improvements made it more efficient as well.

Waiting for midrange SOC with new arm cores, but nothing even Snapdragon 7 gen 1 not released yet

Phone manufacturers shouldn’t even think about using these cores without active cooling. No vapor chamber and all that crap. The SD 888 and 8gen1 are already throttling like crazy from only 5 minutes of gaming.

They should also develop phones oriented towards stuff other than gaming. People who don’t game don’t need performance better than the last good Android chip (SD865). They need a better ISP for photos, better efficiency for battery life, etc.

Anonymous, 29 Jun 2022More cores! More performance! Still no app that will use it... moreYou should go with iPhone if you want efficiency 😆🤣

More cores! More performance! Still no app that will use it fully (except for benchmarks).

We should focus on efficiency, so we can have devices survive for entire day, even with smaller batteries.

hoping this architecture wouldnt make chipsets overheat as they claim.
