The Android Freak, 01 Jul 20221. I don't agree on software support with you. I used ... more1. Oem software support may be good, i meant mediatek support to OEMs. They may have improved, but in the past mediatek devices rarely recieved updates as meditek refused to release source code (illegal for gpl) and forced manufacturers to pay massive fees under NDA for updated kernels and blobs.

Your experience with 4G is encouraging. I live in a rural area without wired internet so this is critical for work.
I'll have to research some more, if they have improved in many of these areas i might actually upgrade to a dimensity phone. Mali drivers are still crap but it seems they powerful enough to overcome that.

I used Redmi Note 8 Pro with Helio G90T and Realme X7 Max(Realme GT Neo with Dimensity 1200). Currently using Vivo X80 with Dimensity 9000. All will have great support in terms of software.

    2. I agree on this though.

    3. I have 1Gbps fiber connection with me. I used Realme X7 Max as my primary device for one and half year and I didn't face any issue with Wifi or 4G connection. 4G in my country is cheapest currently but it's not best quality wise. But still I get good stable 35-50Mbps speeds on 2CA Realme supports. No issues with Wifi stability as well. I am yet to see any kind of CA on Vivo, at same location Realme GT 2 Pro/One Plus 10 Pro/Moto Edge 30 Pro supports 4CA(even 6CA will be there after 5G launch in my country). I don't know what's the issue with CA on Vivo. But speeds are stable on single band whichever it latches on to.

      1. Software support, Mediatek has a bad history in regards to OS support.
      2. Adreno has much better support, especially with emulators.
      3. Best modems. I don't care about speed, i care about consistency, the ability to keep a connection while switching channels. Huawei and samsung modems have been bad at this for me. Maybe mediatek and others have improved but I'm not going to gamble.

But seriously, why would the vanilla use a superior 9000+? Why not simply 9000 or even 8100? Any phone with 9000+ should be in the pro, pro plus, or ultra category. Not VANILLA.
