After watching a dozen or so YouTube reviews i have come to the conclusion that the cooling and os of the poco x4 gt has seriously handicapped the 8100.
Despite being the same chip as in the redmi k50 and the realme gt neo 3, the poco can only perform 43-45 fps in genshin impact after 5 minutes while the other 8100 powered phones can hold a stable 60 fps. Other games like pubg can't really be tested properly because it hasn't been optimized for the chip and the smooth+60fps option is too easy to run.
GsmArena please confirm this ASAP. This throttling issue+ lcd display+ kinda crappy camera feel like main problems with the x4 gt.

Poco devices aren't as good as people think, they're great but they come with tons of unseen compromises.
My mom has a Mi 10T lite and I tried Poco X3 pro(tried 4 of them) and my aunt has the F3.
I've gotta say, the mi 10t is the best experience of the bunch. Even though it has a 750g SoC and the other two has 860 and 870:
Touch response is way better (less delay in scrolling and the content sticks better to the finger).
The software is way smoother (less frame drops) and ofc it didn't have ads turned on by default.
the mi 10t has one of the best haptics I've ever felt in a phone (with only the iPhone and latest galaxies being a tad better).
Mi 10t is much more optimized as it is a REAL Xiaomi phone and gets better attention.
The f3 does have a nicer screen though. (But LCD had its merits for cab drivers and avid navigators)
Same thing went with Poco F1 vs the Oneplus 6, the quality, smoothness and longevity of the devices were very poor when compared to the similarly specced OP6(which I still use right now).
I still feel ppl to get the poco x3 pro and not a non pro iphone because of the 120hz and the great value. But it is on no way a perfect experience.
It is good enough for 90% of the population.

ReStore, 03 Jul 2022hardware I would say ok at best but its the garbage MIUI th... moreThese POCO phones are targetted towards developing countries where value is king, hence the phones come with a ton of ads and bloat etc. MI UI tho, is just cheap copy of iOS and that is one reason why I would always avoid buying Xiaomi phones

Almost all new devices launched have AMOLED screen and this is literally one device with strong specs that doesn't. And that's why I like it and considering buying.

These phones have slightly better cameras and charge faster.

hardware I would say ok at best but its the garbage MIUI that turns off most people, and ads that keep running in system wide is just cherry on top. before some people blabber about turning it off and using adguard dns, why should we be forced to do so in first place? they have like 100 variants of same phone why not make 1 variant without the crappy ads and let users enjoy their phones in peace? again people would say buy EU variant or flash EU rom but not all models are eligible for EU rom and not everyone can get their hands on EU variant.

The side mounted fingerprint scanner ruins everything. I prefere in display fingerprint scanner & a curved screen.

Xiaomi's hardware isn't as appealing as it once was, and MIUI is a train-wreck. I've never been a fan of MIUI, but years ago, it was relatively stable. Now, it's full of bugs. It's what happens when an OEM releases too many devices and is unable to support them. A Xiaomi phone needs to have custom ROMs for me to consider it, and even then, I'm inclined to just buy a secondhand Pixel instead of importing from China. Waiting 7-10 days to unlock the bootloader is painful.
