xAirYx, 04 Jul 2022I dont like aspect ratio😖😖😖😖😖This one of the few laptops with 3:2 screen, and the only one of 16" (together with his little brother, the AMD version released last year).
If you don't like it, there is plenty with more "conventional" aspect to choose from. I don't get why people have this type of complaints.
Personally I think 3:2 16" is a genius stroke by Huwaei and the main reason I bought the AMD variant.

Just buy a 13 inch MacBook Pro for that price. M1 16GB 512, spend the extra money on AppleCare+ because unlike Huawei, Apple will fix it when you drop it.

Nope. Battery life on x86 is much less than the projected one.
AMD processors do offer some good battery life while maintaining the performance in acceptable levels, but intel consumes a ridiculous amount of power that reduces the battery life to mediocre levels.
There's also the fact that mac OS is totally optimized for apple silicon. And intel graphics is still garbage.

Anonymous, 03 Jul 2022This will eat the 16" MBP M1 maxIf priced far below the MacBook Pro 16 inch, then maybe, especially for people who just want a large and spacious display but not the power of the M1 Pro and the incredible cost of the MacBook.
Otherwise, GPU performance on the MacBook is probably 6-8x better than the Iris Xe, as is battery life (probably 2x). Temps are far lower on the MacBook too.

Since Huawei didn't even put a dGPU in there they could've opted for an AMD 6000 APU and the laptop would be much better and more justifiable in price.
