New OnePlus 10T renders highlight the design differences with the 10 Pro

Earlier this month there was another batch of renders, but they showed an unusual design. This one is much closer to the OnePlus 10 Pro with some key differences.

also you can breathe via mouth, should you remove your nose?

        where's the Alert Slider?! Been using OnePlus since OnePlus X, and a device without Alert Slider is a NO for me.

I can see how it is disappointing to their original fans. I remember Techaltar who used to work for Oppo in China producing a video about this a few years ago predicting exactly what happened. He basically explained how this happens with almost all successful enthusiast brands. Either that or they usually don't survive long term

                That's what I meant by the 'OnePlus Branding', among so much other (software things) that hare perished over the years; for bad or good reasons. Oppo were nowhere in Europe and now the want to apparently inverse the trend and render OnePlus 'mainstream' and by all means given they'll probably works as Xiaomi by flooding the market over some remodeling from parenting company ...

But basically that was the only unique hardware feature. It's a handy feature alright but muting a phone is something that just takes a few taps. There pro models are supposedly still retaining this feature for the time being. Apart from the alert slider, all early model designs were just copies of existing Oppo phones up until the OP 7 pro though.

                      I'd have been very interested in this. Will only buy flat screen phones. But no alert slider is a Dela breaker for me. I'll stick with my OP9 until they correct their error with a future version or Nothing step up to the plate with something better than the weak initial offering.

More budget oriented phones with flagships come with flagship chips, a flat amoled screen and usually a single punchhole in the centre (or maybe on the left for the slightly older models). Most offer a decent main camera sensor (actually the imx766 is usually the best in this category. Some offer weaker main sensors like the hm2) and weak to average ultrawide and macro camera or depth sensor (a 16mp ultrawide is on the better side for this category). I don't see what makes it any worse than the comepetition. It's basically a similar formula to earlier Oneplus phones. Good screen, flagship chip and good but not top level cameras. All the early Oneplus models used Oppo designs anyway and were manufactured by Oppo (which is a good thing as at least manufacturing wasn't outsourced to unconnected third parties like some other companies do where quality control is more of an issue). Maybe the only thing I see that is any major change is the software moving more towards Color OS. All android manufacturers now are releasing very similar phones.

                            A lot of tech sites are showing and saying that Oxygen OS 12 is just a Color OS with different name. Which means is just a Realme OS. Not the clean and simple experience of previous Oxygen OS's.
                            And the rumors are even in Oxygen OS 13 they will not go back to the roots. They say they will try to bring even more features from Color OS and make this two even more look alike.

                            I think that's why people are questioning the existence of OnePlus at this point. Is just a rebranded Oppo. Which was already done by Realme. So, if things will remain the same, one of this two companies must go (Realme or OnePlus).
