Phones only good for 3 years is just poor ethics.

Can we not skip ColorOS 12 and go on to Oxygen 13?

I would say OP plus should be more snappy but then they already have been with the OP10 Pro! They literally snap in half! Lol.

RealLifePhones, 01 Jul 2022Wow OnePlus is really slow with updates. Galaxy S10 from th... moreForget about flagships, my mid-range Redmi K30 5G from exactly the same year already received stable Android 12 EU ROM update last May of this year, and now the second Android 12 update brought it to May 2022 security patch.
How come Xiaomi could afford to make fast updates despite having lots of devices to manage, while OnePlus has significantly less models to take care of? And it's not as though because of better software stability, because I rarely see bugs now on MIUI 12 aside from weird issues right after updating, which is probably caused by broken cache, but it settles down within a few hours anyway. Quite annoying, but other than that, it's pretty stable for my use. Regardless, OnePlus could've really done better considering that this OP7 is a flagship.

About time! I gave up on Android 12 and sold my 7T 2 months ago and went to buy the 10 Pro but the camera was a total disappointment! I couldn't believe it! It is barely better than my 7T... after 2 1/2 years!! ?? So I bought the Pixel 6 Pro for the same price. It's full of glitches but I'm in love 😊❤️ BBK is promoting brand Oppo and have neglected OnePlus. They've forgotten what the brand OnePlus meant and it's core values... It's too sad. It takes years it takes to build a brand, but just months to wreck it...

RobinArc, 01 Jul 2022"But nobody should use phones more than 3 years" ... moreExactly, my Redmi Note 5 from 2018 is still alive, it's just laggy, has battery degradation and no more updates since Q4 2020, but yeah it's 4 years old.
My OnePlus 7 is working fine, I rarely find bugs, the ones I notice daily are:
-the ambient display doesn't want to wake sometimes so I have to press the power button to check time and notifications
-since the Android 11 updates, the vibrations are weaker, harder to feel in my pocket.
Then the battery life started degrading heavily after 2.5 years.
But no lags and it's currently on May 2022 security patch.

                      Peak OnePlus phones.

But nobody s... more"But nobody should use phones more than 3 years" umm, why nobody should use phone no more than 3years even if the phone functions properly? Android flagship phone can be used more than 5years, just need to change the battery one time. and mid range phone can last longer than 1 year. I've a flagship phone that is still running flawlessly more than 4.7years now and my mom's using realmi 9 prime which doesn't caused any issue till now and using 1.5 years now. Using phone 2-3years just making bigger e-waste problem for everyone.

But nobody should use phones more than 3 years. Be it flagship or mid range. Midrange sucks after 1st year. So basically flash the roms after first major Android updates. Samsung charging way too much because of updates. They have lost the track with A53/A73 and S21FE series this year. Next year should be exciting for Samsung.
