Adomas, 06 Feb 20138 core? Why??? My laptop has 2 and its ultra smooth....How about they just get Android to run smooth on what they have now instead of adding more crap to it just for the hell of it. Most apps don't even take advantage of the quad core phones since they still have to take into account that most android users are in the mid to low end. Meaning dual and single core phones.

drcolossus, 07 Feb 2013So what you are confirming is it is still a quad-core devic... moreYes, it will be 2x quad core with only one quad core operating at once.

I did see a rumor that it would be on the Note 3 but not the SGS4... personally i think it will be on both.

AnonD-61530, 06 Feb 2013CANT YOU READ? The 8 core processor is actually 2x quad ... moreTo be fair to Adomas, the 8-core being 2x Quad Core Processors wasn't actually mentioned anywhere in the article.

          So he/she wouldn't have known.

Ahh... i remember the day, when quad core phones were announced, remember it like yesterday. All these troll bashing keyboards, commenting that four cores on a phone are useless, there are no programs that use all four cores and ect... Same story again. Could you just please shut the f up and let the progress continue?

So if the rumor is true it will have a pixel density of 440 ppi thats alot of pixels. Will the A7 cores be able to handle that many pixels and at the same do less-intense task without switching to the A15 cores. Because if they can't handle it the bigger will be on most of thr time defeating the of having the two sets of cores

This is the news all other manufacturers and fanboys were dreading. They are all announcing their flagships now in the hope of flogging some decent numbers before the King arrives.

Can't wait to see the specs and design. SGS IV will keep Samsung well ahead of the pack.

The 8 core processor is actually 2x quad core processors.

One is an A15 1.8ghz quad core for heavy gaming etc
The other is an a7 1.2ghz quad core for light apps like messaging, phone, sleep mode etc

ONLY ONE processor will run at once... The saving in battery is about 70 % according to Samsung.... Great battery life with awesome performance.... That's the point.

Ps anyone that says the current note 2 or sgs3 lags has never used these phones.
