That is likely to be down to the manufacturer deliberately throttling the CPU speeds. So I guess people will just have to root the phone to get past that or perhaps the manufacturer could release an update to prevent the throttling. I have a Poco F3 with a Snapdragon 870 and running geekbench or antutu, the processor performance is pretty much in line with that of any other phone using a Snapdragon 870. Miui is absolutely fine since version 12.

It's rebranded Poco X4 GT.... If it will launch in India under poco tag, then the prices will be low... But sadly it's launching under Redmi tag.... So they will sold it overpriced under the name of Redmi.... Same like Redmi note 11 pro+ selling overpriced in India under the Xiaomi tag as Xiaomi note 11 hypercharge....
