Fair enough. But price point-wise, even when/if we factor in the materials used, I'd have thought that a slightly better Helio SoC or maybe even the current entry level Unisoc ones would have been a much better proposition. And I was about to ask if Lava would be willing to sell this to Malaysia.

Not easy.
Micromax has cheated Indians again with In series of phones. Coz of that even Lava is something that we don’t get that trust factor.
Nowhere it’s clarified about updates details.
BBK and other non Indian brands have succeeded in India coz Indian brands have failed in delivering the quality and to that leading brands like Micromax has again cheated Indians with their IN series phones.
Hard to trust Indian brands

Helio A22 is the most bottom of bottom chip you can get as of now. Plus 3GB ram also only is like this should be a phone with Android Go and not a full android verison

I bought Lava Helium 14' laptop, one of the worst devices I've ever bought. Memory and Ram was a disaster, can't trust them on any device.

They chose a glassback over a cheaper price/better specs.
I am not so sure about this one. With just a tiny little bit extra you could get a much better phone.
