This reminds me of Nokia phones from the 2000s... one hundred variants of the same basic hardware, with a little design change... And where it ended? Nokia dead.
Let's hope the same goes for Xiaomi.

I think it would be ok if they gave more storage for that price but if you need 256gb storage it's an extra $100 which is quite a lot for 128gb of extra storage. The 11 lite NE supports micro SD cards so you can get extra storage that way if you don't want to pay significantly extra for a higher storage variant. It's kind of nearly always the way though. Usually price to performance ratio is significantly higher on older models which are often available at large discounts
