    It's possible someone will hack things into Android via launcher or other means to splice lock screen customizations on Android. I know I've seen some back when i had Android, though they were usually more problems than they were worth in the end (because they were clunky and glitchy)...

There are different variants of OS because they don't all fit the purpose and/or device the same. Why would iPadOS replace iOS when iPadOS is specifically designed for iPadbecause it's a different device than smartphones?

            MacOS should replace lower spec iPadOS,
            IPadOS should replace lower spec iOS.

            To go for hi spec, productivity.
            Pen support, software support, Telephony support, large screen, fold/flip, etc
