I found out from the review that the 1" sensor in the 12S Ultra is a native 4:3 sensor. Now that is worth exploring since Sony's 1" sensor in the Xperia Pro-I is a native 3:2 sensor.

No one tells if that's still the case or not and some people give false information that it's not an issue anymore. Which makes selecting a Xiaomi for Europe a nightmare and annoyance.

another ''flagship 12mp cam'' that still gets beat DETAIL wise by xiaomi's own 25/27mp cammed phones ( mi note 10 10t pro 10 pro an others)... as shown by gsm arena themselves.... great i can blur out a backround better but still cant take a night pic or vid without lights getting blown out on another '' biggest an best sensor'' ill stick with the 25mp cams thanks

Clearly some ig... moreIt was in some Xiaomi 12S Ultra article where I asked if bands are still an issue with Chinese phones and someone said that used to be a problem and it's not anymore. I had Mi5 which had pretty bad issues with bands in Europe, resulting in terrible LTE speeds to a point 3G+ was often way faster with better signal.

I've had incredibly poor speeds with LTE on Xiaomi that was imported from China, so importing this to Europe would have the exact same issues. Sigh.

Seems like a step in the right direction for smartphone camera technology. But kinda pointless for use in the West without an international variant with the necessary U.S. 5G bands. Still, for me it ultimately comes down to whether Xiaomi phones can be trusted:
