no heating problem, no lag.
only small issue - battery life reduced after 2 years.
replaced it at around RM100 here/ $22 only.

student, 17 Jul 2022no point for low spec iPhone 8 single camera 2gb ram, Large... moreit is expensive too. i rather buy a xiaomi 11t than a33. exynos has more heating problem than snap. and iphones cant be low spec if you use them properly. yes i know new flagship iphone has 6gb but others have 8,10,12 to 16. even 18. added with useless virtual ram that fills storage with trash. a11 bionic is still strong even today. but until 2026. samsung is focused more on updates so it would lag and fills storage everytime you update. i aint gonna get the same midrange section. 11t is flagship at its class. even if they offer slower updates. even if samsung offers 5 or 6 years everyone would just want to swap phones every 2 years if they degrade its performance.

it is NOT gonna last another 2 to 3 year from now, no more Updates. no Apps Store support later. Today iPhone Flagship already 6gb ram, iPadOS 16gb ram.
better buy Samsung A33 5G, guaranteed 5years OS and Security update, till 1H 2027.
A33 has UFS 2.2, ala SSD equipped, no lag for 5 years.

My previous Samsung had decent hardware (despite the crippling storage) and they didn't even bother to upgrade the software but instead started to force push notifications from their galaxy apps store (unable to disable it. Such a pain!!!) to purchase new Samsungs (higher end models such as their folds and and flips) didn't even allow to disable bloatware. Done and dusted with Samsung forever.

While Realme / Mi are notorious with updates, you get decent performance in budget. The hardware is also decent for price, while a Samsung Phone uses cheap plastic. Security updates are nice and appreciated here, but the bloatware and slow downs are horrible.
I own a Redmi k20 and it is still is rock solid, because the processor was good and I got rid of all crapware, installed a Custom Rom. Seriously if you're using OneUI / MIUI / after warranty period, you're the product. The brand will slow down your device, push junk in OTA, forcing you to switch to a new device.

Thus being said, with Samsung phones at least you get timely security updates for 3 years (even for low end models; 4 or 5 years for mid-range or flagships). With other manufacturers you get 2 or 3 (if you are lucky or you got one of their flagship models). Not to mention they come once per 3-6 months apart.
I am not an avid promoter of software updates, but laughing at Samsung software updates (which are second best only to Apple's), doesn't look very intelligent.

Samsung maintains at least 2 Android OS up... moreThat's good (but not great because of how heavy Samsung's ui is) to give around 2 years of updates since around 2020 (i believe), still their product quality has gone down the drain and prices have been increased drastically. The built in ads make the experience even more awful. Also Samsung never gave software updates for older low to mid range models until 2020-2021 and that's what I wanted to point out

This is in contrast with the Chinese like the BBK group who don’t care about their mid to low end devices.

Solid phone by all standards
No lag or inconsistent heating
Better speaker s and haptics
