        As for Samsung, they never really lower the price of the midrange models here, but that is a more a samsung issue.

        But another reason we have so little choice in different brands is lack of interest in tablets, and the people that do get one go for Apple.

        So that is a issue specific to my country.

          Tab like s7FE (sd 778G version), s7 (on sale), Tab A7 (one with sd 662) offer really good value compare to competition.

          And the new realme tab with sd 695 is unbeaten if you are looking for perfomance.

So now the ... moreI gave up on cheap tablets and got my kids a second-hand Poco X3 (6.67" 120Hz LCD display) and flashed a custom ROM on it. It's a great solution for them, and it's nice having a spare phone I can more my sim to if the need arises. They just use it on wifi to play games. If they want to do anything else, they use an old Dell laptop.

                  This spec sheet in 2022 is just sad. The only upgrade is the name (2022)! At least upgrade something from one gen to the next!

                    So now the put in some trash and ask same money.

                    In my country aside from Apple most tablet brands are Lenovo and Samsung, and while Samsung gives better and longer OS support, I would pick a Lenovo any day if I had to.

                    I know a lot of people that have the A7 2020, because Samsung tablets sell better due to the name, the specs, speakers and performance is fine but the screen is beyond terrible, looks more like something cheap from 2010.

                    Meanwhile the Lenovo ones may have worse support, for same money they give same stuff like Samsung + a good IPS above it.

                    However I would not bother picking up a tablet, only Apple ones make sense and tablet wise I rather would pick Android.

                    Also the fact how poor cheaper tablets are and how overpriced the good ones tend to be is a big reason too.

                      I do wish Sammy or someone would do a decent speced 7 inch phablet,preferably with old 4.3 ratio display and an LCD,not amoled and at sensible price..
