Phones with AMOLED displays are occasionally plagued with green tint issues, this is nothing new, but not a great start for the young company's first phone either.

                To those 80%+ people who voted to choose AMOLED over IPS LCD in GSMArena's poll about screen panel, here's what you guys get in return. This is why IPS LCD panel will never die and never gets outdated.

                  People who say this is a issue that happens on all OLED's they are capping, i used OLED phones for a long time, almost never seen those issues unless the screen is cracked or damanged.

                      Those denedfing this phone are like crApple fans. They do not listen to reason.

                      Do not blame the tech of OLED or having max brightness a lot or that more expensive phones have faced this etc.
                      This article states that THIS PARTICULAR MODEL is having this issue, and a lot compared to just countable faulty untins out of thousands. This is not well built phone, just look at the defects around the cameras.

                      Here is something to try: accept the truth instead of defending something just because it is "cool" to you for once. Just once.

                        this company is actually trying to overcome oneplus and says that this phone will be a alternative of iphone (trying to shift consumers view point) but sadly unable to overcome moto, nokia, micromax. lava or even jio company -_-

                        they could have used led panel with 3.5 audio jack & sd card support slot + a better chipset may have lead to a success (i think)

                        i do not wanna just keep onshowing off of my phone with back led lights, i would like to show off with good performace, reliable display, basic requirements like 3.5 audio jack & sd card slot.

                              People that say "they should use high quality OLEDs" clearly don't understand that it would SIGNIFICANTLY raise the price of the device. Since this is a mid range phone, high price of device would be unjustified because for the same price you could buy a year old flagship.

                              That's why I say they should have choosen high quality IPS LCD instead of cheap quality OLED. Even LCD IPS display of highest quality is significantly cheaper than the cheap OLED display.

                              And guys, remember why Xiaomi has AMOLED displays and doesn't use Super AMOLED (which has reduced chances of burn-in). It's because Super AMOLED is expensive, yet typical AMOLED is cheap.

                              But again, I'd rather use quality IPS LCD then cheap (AM)OLED display. Latest IPS LCD displays shows great black, just like (AM)OLEDs so much that people can barely notice the difference.

                                That's not really news.All OLED-s might have this and it's a matter of luck just how bad yours will be.Next thing you'll be telling us OLED-s get burn-in like that's a new thing too.And no,I'm not some fanboy of Carl or any other brand.Never be a fan of ANY company if you want to buy something objectively good.Things change.

                                  I never encountered any problems with LED displays in any of the phones that I owned. At least 4 of them had Quad HD oLED panels and never had a tinting issue on them. Another phone a Nexus 6 I bought in 2014 didn't have that either. My OnePlus doesn't have any issues with its LED display. Even my current phone with a qhd LED doesn't have any of the problems associated with led panels

OLEDs dont like max brightness all time since it will spawn some green, red-ish tint. but if you never encountered this issue, you are lucky enough to get the phone with high quality display
