Some Nothing phone (1) buyers report green tint display, issues around the selfie camera

18 July 2022
Phones with AMOLED displays are occasionally plagued with green tint issues, this is nothing new, but not a great start for the young company's first phone either.

This phone will fail hard. This what happens when they create all that hype for nothing and it backfires then

Where are all the teenage kids now who were defending this immature looking phone with backlights? This phone is costly for the features it offers and has tons of issues with the display and other bugs.

sokolicc, 18 Jul 2022A52s or S21FE or any Oppo/Realme with Dimensity 8100, hell,... moreeven better, poco f4 gt. even though it uses sd 8 gen 1, i think you should prepare to buy a cooling fan after you buy the f4.

I think this phone will flop. The nothing puns are already quite abundant like the bomb jokes the Note 7 generated in 2016. But I'm not rooting for it to fail. I'm rooting for this company to succeed. I just don't believe it will come from their first phone.

A lot of HYPE for NOTHING. I'm still curious about Nothing's future products though. And if they can sell them for under $500, that's quite enticing. The Snapdragon 778+ isn't a bad chip. That's as powerful as a Snapdragon 855 from 3 years ago.

People are still using phones with 835 and 845 and are still quite happy with it after 4-5 years. So let's make it seem 778+ is terrible or a Snapdragon 400. Many of the 800 / 8 Gen 1 series overheat and throttle. It's totally fine getting a mid-range SoC these days that doesn't overheat and throttle as often as the 888 and 8 Gen 1.

I'll be rooting for Nothing, the company. They're the spiritual successors to Essential and I still love my Essential Phone. The 2nd and 3rd gen of a Nothing phone should be quite interesting and improved. The first gen of most products always have problems.

A52s or S21FE or any Oppo/Realme with Dimensity 8100, hell, even Poco F3 are still better deal than this overhyped led lamp.

                            Change my mind.
