This is decline is going to continue and accelerate further. Both manufacturers and customers are focusing on higher price brackets. So ownership window will also increase drastically.

It was predictible, indian variants from all brands use cheap local components with no quality control.

You have been warned many times !

Kavaludari, 21 Jul 2022Have you people lost your minds? Why are you comparing quar... moreIts a downwards trend. Q3 2020 (COVID era) is greater than Q3 2021 (Recovery era). 2020 and first half of 2021 were peak COVID times with chip shortages at their maximum. The growth since Q3 2021 (Oct-Dec 2021) is not on par with previous year as semiconductor shortages are on a recovery path and covid is not that mcuh of a deterrent.

Have you people lost your minds? Why are you comparing quarters? See yearly trends. The sales are way higher. Q3 is the festivals season of India. Most purchases happen in this time only. Sales are increasing by a lot every single year. The sales are too high for the amount of money the Chinese are charging for low quality phones tbh.

Last year in Q2 2021 india was in lockdown. So only 12%growth compared to last year...is weak.

The Indian government has been actively investigating Xiaomi and BBK for money laundering since this year.
Chinese manufacturers are making aggressive inroads into the market to make India their market instead of Samsung's big markets, Europe and America, but if the money laundering investigation continues, China will be forced to lose the Indian market.

People want to pirate movies and apps (its a huge market) because "if you can get it for free, why pay" culture. Android is best for that. Modded apps, ability to download and easily share a lot of movies etc. will keep the Android community alive.
