The phone has (nothing) to prove, literally.
It won't have a sequel, obviously. Just another waste of world's natural resources.

When I assess buying a phone, I look at durability and repairability as two key factors. I Still have a Samsung galaxy S5 for example in perfect working condition. This phone is probably a disaster for repairability. I have the Poco F3. Had it since march 2021. Battery life was suffering around march this year. Did a quick search on AliExpress, found a battery for 15 euros and it took 20 minutes to fit. Phone is like new. I can imagine repairability is not quite so easy on the nothing phone but I haven't yet seen a teardown.

My primary is iPhone 13 pro max 256GB, my secondary was S9+ moved to OnePlus 7T, now moved to Nothing Phone 1 256GB. Yeah it doesn't have the best in class SoC but regular day to tasks it feels really snappy. Love the elegant build, and software experience. This is a my first mid ranger and I think this is a premium mid ranger. Like you would get S22 (non plus/ultra) and in that same price get a Halo Flagship from Vivo, and other sub budget brands. The Vivo and such at that price bracket will get such so much more than S22 but yet S22 will have superior build, finer software and such quality features. Nothing Phone is exceptionally good for the Indian price point.

I've got mine and got what I kinda expected.
The camera isn't particularly good.
The haptics is apple-like, which was a very pleasant surprise.
Wireless charging works.
The glyph is as useful as the notification diode. Given that those (still don't know why) disappeared it's welcomed.
The looks are stunning.
Yes, the screen has some tint to it- I think it's Nothings colour scheme, which you can choose but You can't make white white- this is annoying, but I don't mind it much.
The tint is only visible, when they can change the colours, e.g. Netflix content feels just right, when I open a photo, that's plain white it looks white (I can't measure that in any way)
It feels snappy, android is VERY clean, no bloatware and its just very good upgrade for me (Zenfone 6 was my previous phone)
And the fingerprint reader is quite accurate although I consider it slow. It feels like I have to hold my thumb on it for half a second at least.
For that price Im very satisfied.

rumours can be hit or miss at this point. but if you wish those specs to be true, prepare to spend $3000 on it
