I'll be very blunt here- If you get a flagship phone from most chinese brands, from afar it seems like a good deal, but it is rubbish deal. Its like owning a mad bull.
I'll tell you why:- With unpolished software, you never get full performance. See the video specs of this phone: 4K@30fps, 1080p@30fps. Is this a joke? My midrange, Snapdragon 625 enabled, Redmi Note 4 from 2014 did these modes!
My LG G8x does excellent 4K60, even 10 minutes long! LG's Snapdragon 865 does 8K!
With bloatware all along, you never reach its full potential.. its fast, granted, but so was Snapdragon 835. Battery experience, the less said the better due to bloatware.
Selfie camera is rubbish to say from the specs itself.
Privacy standards are questionable. Realme for example, uploads your fingerprints. Go Figure why.
In short, if you're getting this phone, your use case MUST be:- apps and games that can utilise its full potential. Not once or twice a day, more like, 1-2 hours a day. No privacy need.
Otherwise saving few miliseconds or getting slightly higher fps, for this much cash, you know, foolishness. Camera is meh, you know. Chinese Snapdragon 870 devices are now available for about half the cash.
PS: You can't bypass chinese restrictions on video recording by using apps like Open Camera. It doesn't work anymore. You're stuck with 4K30, not even a 60 fps option is found sometimes.

Daddy is hot, 21 Jul 2022How many Android OS updates for this phone? And how is funt... moreThere is no comparison itself. Funtouch OS is totally bad. Avoid if possible. Purchase this phone, only for gaming. In this price category, Oppo Reno 8 Pro has better performance for day to day usage and best camera. Vivo X80 is another good choice.

Anonymous, 21 Jul 2022Why do redmi buyers care about the price lol Yes we do care about price. It is a price sensitive country. Most of the users buy phones under 300USD. And in that category, due to inflation or I don't know what is the reason, people are not buying Redmi Note series as well.
