TheAlienNextDoor, 28 Jul 2022I love my S22 Ultra, but I have to say, I'm probably g... moreThis comment holds a lot of truth.
We are seeing massive investments into foldables, larger camera sensors, and gaming because the industry has plateaued.
To drive up revenues, OEMs create artificial demand through smart marketing campaigns.
Regarding the S22 Ultra, I agree. Although I love mine, diminishing returns are all around. The removal of expendable storage pushes people to subscribe to cloud services. Wireless audio is in high demand since the headphone jack has become obsolete. Certainly, if they could remove certain basic functions, such as 5G, and charge you afterwards on a carrier level, they would.
The winning hand here belongs to Apple.
In holding back features that their competitors introduce and launching them slowly across their entire product line, Apple provides consumers with a compelling reason to upgrade each year.

Just gonna ignore a decade of using Androids because you feel offended by it lol? If you're so up to date with info on me, you should also know I've expressed several times I'm considering going back to Android just to see how things are now and I've also expressed several times it'll most likely be Samsung because of their good software support? No? Seems like you know jack s**t about me after all.

Anyways, why do you even comment on these Android phones ? You use iPhone after all. Does it even matter if the phone has glass or plastic back. SMH. So lame thing to be worried about something you'll never even buy or see. Leave Android phones upto Android users

VAT (around 20% in most European countries) which is the largest tax on the phone will ultimately be borne by the consumer for phones sold in Europe and that tax is the same regardless of the brand of phone

As far as I'm aware there is no difference in taxes. Vat is charged on phones at the same rates regardless of where they come from. Basically all smartphones are being manufactured outside the EU anyway so there should be no difference in taxes

I'm not buying this propaganda. I don't see why should I change my S10 for S22. I don't want that brick Ultra, and S22 or S22+ are downgraded every year. Those can't be called flagships now at all.

Imagine that, selling +900€ phone that doesn't have plastic back boosts sales. Who would have known. I bet there was so many people who refused to buy regular Galaxy S21 because of its plastic back. I know it just entirely dropped from my radar because of that. Galaxy A52s with plastic back, fine, it's 300€ phone. Galaxy S21 was 950€ when it was new. Plastic back on such priced phone is just ridiculous.
