You're right about apps though, those can be controlled.

Remember, Google is God. And yes, Apple has its own backend, try being a politician or a terrorist then tell me about your privacy.

Because is happy for you to sideload apps from different markets right? and of course, they are not in any form showing ads to you. Clearly, you don't know anything about privacy settings that are now installed in Google. you can erase your search history and you can also control what ads you see. And you can also control what your apps use. Considering they are making it more and more possible for you to use the phone without connecting to the internet who is seeing what especially as now you can dictate what an app is allowed to use on your phone.

you have to suffer, 02 Aug 2022if it was only used for video recording, it would be fine. ... moreWell, can't you spy-savvy people use Google to learn more?

For starting, they will use the data to serve your advertisements which will make a profile of you, till the point where they will know what you will buy. Your next purchase also might be decided by them, if you're dim minded, not the best product.
Going on, if governments get this data, they can use this data for crowd control, government spam, etc. which will make you victim of govt. agendas (ask us Indians what we're going through). And you yourself know what Chinese government is.
Your data might never be in your control, you will not know why or how a certain person is contacting you.
Your known location will have a vareity of ill effects. Your country's elections will be manipulateable because the company knows what you'll be voting.
Secondly, you can safely leave any dreams of being the President/ PM of your nation, because they will have access to your weakest points too. Forget even being a negotiator. You'll just have to be sheep all your life.
      Enough said?

This is a privacy disaster, I don't like how the future is going.

Just like we're forced to take smartphones with google software onboard, non removable batteries, and other privacy disasters, one day these goggles might also become a standard, and it might be impossible to get an older phone... I'm just imagining because this is what has happened so far.

Unless, the market becomes intelligent and abandons it completely... will the customers take a stand for themselves, their families? Will organisations ban these devices to help the cause? Will governments ban it?

That's far from discreet, I must admit. I like what TCL did with their NXTWEAR G more.

It's an octa-core Snapdragon SoC, not the Snapdragon 8 SoC.

Anyway, this thing looks too wacky to be worn in a public space, but I can definitely see its business-related use.
