HTC Butterfly is IPX5, so it is resistant against some water jets.

Not really, you cant submerge this under water, while you can do it with the xperia z. this is only good for splashes.

Water protected is only 7 and 8. 4 is basic water resistance. Only against slight splashes.
IP54 means good, but not perfect dust protection with splash water resistance.

Peter From Poland, 12 Feb 2013Specs are impressive ! It's all about the price now...i really hope the major device reviewers like gsmarena do a review of these products. i have a lenovo device with me with good specs on paper but fails to deliver the performance i expected.

Element of surprise is good as the marketing strategy but in today's market landscape, giving hint's of what the consumers could obtain from the gadgets provider might be a good idea. Everyone knows that the specification won't be that far from one to another smartphone so what's the point of keeping it as a secret? Huawei knows that they have become one of the largest smartphone providers available (according to the report filed in the end of 2012) yet they are not the best so people don't put too much expectation on them. By unveiling some of the information related to their products might the the best bet to get the consumer's attention, though it is undeniably risky.
