Lb7500, 08 Aug 2022229€ for a device which at best last2 years. nearly 20 buck... more€/$ 229
÷ 24 months (2 years)
= €/$ 9.54 / month still an appreciable cost though
Even at that seems more of a preorder booster for new handsets, how I got both of mine.
Lost my buds pro I got from s21 preorder so went back to my original galaxy buds that came with S10+
Still work great

Anonymous, 05 Aug 2022Less likely. Only Bose can beat Sony.Bose has one job, to make audio equipment, but Samsung is ten times more prolific than Bose when it comes to new releases. I doubt Bose has the tech in earbuds to be a major player.

ZolaIII, 05 Aug 2022Sounds like a downgrade regarding drivers, it will certainl... moreSamsung was THE brand that started making good custom bluetooth codecs. They've had their Samsung Scalable Codec longer than you've had any wireless headphones. Qualcomm only managed to copy the scalable codec last year, Sony still haven't figured it out for LDAC.
Rumour has it Samsung will improve the 24-bit sound compression this year. Sure 24-bit is overkill on earphones as it is very unlikely that any tiny DAC in an earbud is capable of delivering the dynamic range 24-bit sound contains. But they are also using Bluetooth 5.3 on these buds, which has enhancements suited for scalable codecs, better energy efficiency and less overhead for lower latency.
The original Buds Pro did set a pretty high bar for the competition in sound quality and feature sets. Seeing it is Samsung, these will definitely make life even harder for the rest.

Sounds like a downgrade regarding drivers, it will certainly be a upgrade regarding mics like Buds 2. We will see how they mesure but anyway without a good codec (like LDAC) and implementation of it it doesn't matter anyway.

Matt finish sounds good. The original Buds Pro were so shiny and slippery I had a hard time getting them into and out of the case.
