google is just smart. they will pay Apple everything they demand and use their androids to haunt and beat them thereby collapsing iOS. in business either you kill competition or make them surrender.

You can't compete with google when behind of them standing U.S. Central Intelligence Agency. If you buying google product then you supporting U.S. government. Yes, Android product are the best but in future our freedoms depends from google. We must fight against U.S., CIA and Google project!

$1B is nothing compare to Android.
Phone Manufacturers get Android for free.

Android costs much more than $1B/yr.

Isn't this time to be suspicious of how much your tracked data is worth to Google which is also the world's largest advertising company. Would you trust a browser made by doubleclick? Firefox for security all the way.

Russian defence forces made a tough android tablet with Google's tentacles removed. Civilian version coming soon.

Again, as a lot of people said and re-said, it's all about the "Search Engine" and not the devices this companies are producing.

Also, Apple would be so screwed if they not take Google's Search Engine Services, after all, back when Google was starting, benchmark test already placed it on top as the best guy to go to for searches, it's like leap and bounds greater than Yahoo. (I don't know about Bing)

So again, it's a win = win scenario for both companies.

Besides (again), if ever Apple switches to a different Search Provider, those Apple [Google Search] Users -- still has the ability to switch their default search engine to Google, not unless Apple patches it with a future iOS version.

Kif, 13 Feb 2013Talking about revenues here something for you, mr iFanb... moreLol. Samsung's revenues are high because they make alot of high volume, low margin products. Net income or operating profit are a much more valuable indicator to me. (you know the amount of money the company actually keeps after paying for stuff). A company can have billions in sales but be doing terrible because they're in the red. Their net income is negative. Revenue is a nice number to throw around for folks who can't read financial statements, but for folks who actually understand them, net income, operating income and cash flow are much nicer to look at. I don't expect you to know much about financial state because it seems all you know to do is name-call and repeat trite talking points.

BTW you still haven't answered where that guy found the 48 million GS3s sold number. Samsung fanboy dreams are so funny.

That seems like a billion thrown out the window. It's not like Apple has a choice in search providers. Google is by far the best search engine. A smart move would be asking Apple money for having the honor of having Google as the search provider.
