TBH this is a pretty interesting phone. However the screen is too much prone to damage.

would be great if Samsung made an A Flip series or something, as a much cheaper variant of Z Flip. I'm thinking of using Snapdragon 700-series like 778G+, plastic unibody, removes secondary display, omitted UWB band, uses NSA 5G and sub-6GHz instead of mmWave, also cheaper camera hardware from A-series like A53.
could easily be sold at 799$ top.

Let's see what Motorola will announce tomorrow. I'm hoping some nice color options for the Razr 2022 because I'm no fan of that graphite (black) that was leaked months ago.
Bigger cover display is important and Samsung gimped out again this year. It feels like Samsung wasted this year being a fat cat. Knowing nobody is a legit threat out there with foldables until Apple finally enters it. And this could take another 5 years since foldables makes up like .007% of all smartphones sold last year.
Apple will only enter a market if it makes them profitable. And 10M is joke number to them when they sell 200M iPhones every year. They could care less if Samsung dominates a niche market like foldables.

Samsung didn't have time to copy the Chinese for Fold4 but will incorporate all the advances we've seen on Chinese phones for Fold5

Should I trade my Flip 3 for the Flip 4? Nah. Truth is, I really don't use my Flip 3 very much. It was my daily driver for only 2 months since getting it Aug 27. I don't even think the battery degraded much since I practice the 40-85 rule. It's never been charged up to 100%, ever. This doubles the lifespan if never charged beyond 85%.
I only use my Flip 3 when charging up my Razr 5G. It's been mostly a multimedia device that also excels at streaming Netflix in Flex mode. Or I'll use it if I want to play my 20 all-time favorite video games since Razr 5G doesn't play PlayStation 2 and GameCube nowhere as good as a phone with Snapdragon 888.
I kept my Flip on Android 11 and One UI 3.1.1. My Razr 5G is still on 11 although Motorola will force me to update which I hate. I don't know? I really don't like how Android 12 looks like. I saw One UI 4+ with Android 12 and I'm no fan. The Flip 4 should really be called a Flip 3S like the iPhone 13 should be 12S.
Samsung can get away with this very lazy and boring upgrade. At least for now. Wait for Apple to finally make foldable flip phones mainstream.

Instead of using foldable screen, it would have been much better, if Samsung used 2 separate screens, instead, but very close together with no visible gap! This way, the horrible visible bent in the middle of the screen would be gone, the phone would be thinner and flatter, with no complex hinge and better resistance to the elements! It's so simple, why did they make it complicated using a foldable screen? Just to be fashionable or something?

In all new phones including iPhones there is nothing new, all is the same. All you get is new chipset ( not that the old chipset Is bad ) New camera ( the older camera is still respectable) new features ( that most user won't use ) only few changes in design and bla bla bla
