Weekly poll results: OnePlus 10T gets the cold shoulder

14 August 2022
In the US market where there is little variety the 10T has potential. In markets with more competition, however, it is looking like a tough sell.

Greed

    Major causes for Oneplus fall:
1 - Letting fan base down with lack/bad software support full of bugs in older models like the 5/T.
2 - Letting oxygenOS down, losing their identity, more and more colorOS look alike.
3 - Losing the slider, little things that differentiated them.
4 - Failed to improve on cameras...they still can't make a device and say, it's of the best cameras around. Selfie cam for example only does 1080p to this day. There's always 3-4 phones in the competition that have better cameras.
5 - Still no ip rating certification, totally unacceptable.

      Not at all surprising.
It's not One+ but an OPPO phone.
Now it's no secret that it's OPPO.
One+ deserve this treatment by all means.

Oppo have changed OnePlus from a unique brand with a unique identity to another Ching-Chong clone. ColorOS, MIUI and all of those are basically the same thing and OnePlus is now just another sheep in the field, thanks to Oppo.

Oppo for me, just have no understanding of the western market, or the western market. They also seem to think that they can "listen" to western users by hosting round table conferences etc and then just ignoring everything that they said.

I used to love OnePlus, more even than Apple. But Oppo is like a cancer on OnePlus, sadly.

Who cares if it has the new Snapdragon? Chips aren't improving at the rate they used to.

Even though it is a good sale (hw, specs etc) OP changed too much in the last 3 years that drove the US market sales down anyway (removing features, changing the OS, now the slider) so they are lucky the hot deal will get US consumers to bite but you can only play that game so long....the smartphone market has been saturated for over 10 years though and nothing has changed honestly except camera and screen tech...so unless you like staring at yourself or someone else mobile phones are at the bottom of the food chain as far as technology goes there just way more sophisticated and advanced tech to use for a camera or a media player other than a phone...that said mobile phones provide that one feature nothing else can provide portable internet...and that my friends is the reason this gift keeps on giving, and so long as consumers eat them up this tech waste will just keep populating the planet over and over and over again.

Xam, 14 Aug 2022Why would one plus remove their fan favourite features😭 Yo... moreTrue. But they got ip rating after, right? At least that was their excuse.

Too bad, If it was sold as Oppo 10T it would have made sense

By the way, this stupid thing pulled a Xiaomi and only has USB 2.0... Like it weren't enough all the crap they were doing to the software and unique features, they also had to go full Xiaomeme. /rip

even those who say will get one or will get 10 pro, they just talk about desires and not necessarily buying them.

This article is trying too hard to make it look like there is hope for this DoA phone, junk OS with childish PRC spyware nothing more.

Kenenna, 14 Aug 2022OnePlus and their unique charging solutions are not for me.... moreHello, from which country is this offer? Thanks in advance

OnePlus and their unique charging solutions are not for me. If they use the general USB standards, maybe I would consider a OnePlus. Also the lack of wireless charging did it in. I'm glad I waited, got a fold4, Watch 5 and Pods Pro 2 for $1100 after I traded in my S21 FE. A lot better value if u ask me
