fgd, 11 Aug 2022Which midrange phone is best up today? can you give me some... morebest value for a midranger was the redmi note 10 pro. or maybe poco x3 pro. since those models have sd card and 3.5mm. if you want amoled display get RN10 pro. if you dont want green tint issue get a poco x3 pro with IPS LCD. if you have so much money but you dont know what to do with it, get a oppo reno 8. expensive as flagship iphone 12.

The Android Freak, 11 Aug 2022Xiaomi won't change the specs for global model. Looks ... moreHP1 is smaller than Imx989.
Even smaller than GN2.

DrakeX, 11 Aug 2022Didn't expect they would go with a resolution between ... moreThe non-standard screen resolution is incredibly frustrating especially for those of us who like to screenshot, this was my biggest frustration with Huawei, and looking at the specs, this could be the same panel in the mate 50.
Tbh I'd rather a 1080p panel even if it's less sharp, or I'd rather take a battery life hit with a 1440p panel as you can run it at 1080p for smaller sized screenshots even if it does nothing for better life. On Huawei phones, if you reduce screen resolution, you get another non standard resolution of 921x1***.
I praised the official k50 and k50 pro for the flat 1440p panels as I believe they are the only ones that exist today, all other 1440p panels are curved, unfortunately flat 1440p panels are going extinct.

Where is the telephoto lens? You can't have a Ultra phone without one. Come on, Xiaomi.

The Android Freak, 11 Aug 2022Xiaomi won't change the specs for global model. Looks ... moreI don't know. We'll see. I also read somewhere there will be better UW and a proper telephoto camera on the global model. They haven't changed the specs on the global model so far, that's true.

Aierlan, 11 Aug 2022Some of the info is incorrect in this article. The main cam... moreAh, you are indeed correct about the sensor, I'll update the article. Samsung's specs page lists it as 1/1.4", but that seems incorrect:

Another one!
Just flood the markets with everything, pixels, mhz's, inches.....and eventually somebody will buy something. Such a waste of time and money!

DrakeX, 11 Aug 2022Didn't expect they would go with a resolution between ... moreXiaomi is here to take place of Huawei. They are very far from it. But they are going in that direction but again Xiaomi flagships are worth 750USD only globally for 256GB.

sm4rt4ss, 11 Aug 2022Probably reserved for the global 12T Pro version. Xiaomi won't change the specs for global model. Looks like Xiaomi has kept that sensor for Xiaomi 13 Ultra. Moto Edge 30 Ultra will rule the market if their post processing is good.

Anonymous, 11 Aug 2022They better make a global version of the k50 ultra. Decent ... moreYes. Good value. But will they compete with OnePlus globally? I doubt so. Band compatibility is another issue. N41 and N77 are the biggest bands in US that needs to be there. One Plus 10T crosses 1000Mbps easily on TMobile. Globally it will work on European carriers but Nokia has started SA networks in Europe and that too with 4CA with speeds like 3Gbps. Xiaomi is lacking on RF front in their phones. Always some cost cutting. Xiaomi needs to work globally in order to be compete like Huawei and take their place. Also, software is big issue. Needs to be more refined than now. It's good but it's nowhere best like Huawei or Oxygen OS. Color OS works well only on Find X series. Reno series software is not so good.

Spanky, 11 Aug 2022That’s all fine and dandy, but I am extremely disappointed ... moreThey are keeping themselves away from Samsung foundry which has effect on their flagship sales

Didn't expect they would go with a resolution between 1080p and 1440p which is common to see in iPhones and Huawei/Honor which is a balance between battery life and sharpness.

Waiting for Captain to show up and say this phone (that probably costs less than $350 to be made) is 2x better than phones that cost over $650 to be made from other brands.
He makes my day !! 🤣

They better make a global version of the k50 ultra. Decent camera , 120w charging , 5000 nah battery , 8 gen 1 + and an amazing screen for 450 dollars ? Even if you sell it for 600 it's good value
