Their chairman/founder was convicted of embezzlement and would have gone to jail, but he was deemed better than us regular folks, so his sentence was commuted. Don't even talk about the bribery and corruption allegations.
They've been sued multiple times for trying to copy other companies (Shock! it didn't start with Apple)
They've been involved in multiple price fixing schemes (basically price gouging their customers).
Most people here don't even know what a chaebol is. If you did then you would realize why that chlorine gas leak that probably spread across a populated area will be hushed up and swept under the rug.
