Well, it depends on their definition of "power users", but it's got a 5 inch fullHD non-amoled display + 2 gigs of RAM to suck the juice out of the slightly more than ordinday 2330 mAh battery.
Basically the large screen plus it's high res. will draw a lot on the battery and RAM is also very hungry on battery.
In comparison, the dualcore Motorola RAZR HD has bigger battery (2530mAh) and make the same statement about their all-day phone. Only it's got a slightly smaller (4.7") and more powersaving pentile AMOLED display and half the RAM. So I really doubt that the Z will last equally long on smaller battery and more powerhungry RAM and display.
Unless they mean working day, I seriously doubt it will last a full day for power users. My perception of a power user is one that is connected to 3G/4G network at all times, surfs, calls, texts and/or plays games quite frequent when on the run and at work or school. Surfing/streaming over wi-fi at home etc.
What will be interesting is the surfing hours and video playback hours. Call time was not so very impressive, but also not extremely relevant to most.
Probably better battery life than Sammy, LG and the rest though. So it's definitely a step in the right direction from Sony :)

Anonymous, 15 Feb 2013These will he my present for my daughter's b-day She'll b... moreJust a small comment on buying for daughters, if already teenager you better make sure its what she want, its important to have whats popular in the area/among the friends and in her school, if the popular and pretty girls have iphone then you have to get her an iphone, no matter how much we may dislike apple we must set reason and own preferences aside. Teens kind of have their own societies and in their world reasonable thinking is not one of the requirements for young girls to fit in.

With everything turned on including hotspot browsing and streaming music? I doubt it but time will tell.

Just been playing with this phone - very nice. In stamina mode the battery can last more than 3 days. Will shut off internet and other services but you can add apps to it's exceptions.
The screen is fantastic too, very nice phone all round.

Prefect phone finally. Only drawback is battery compared to Note II. Will test it before judging the battery.
The other issue with Sony phones is over heating hope they addressed it with Z

I may pick up one in Europe instead, since i am already here, if its the C6603 LTE version. I am worried about losing the official Sony Philippines warranty, and i probably have to pay a bit more (but ok, smartphones are so expensive in PH also, no big difference maybe).
Im very exited about getting the Xperia Z, bye bye Note 2, AMOLED sux.
