So pointing out a flaw in a design that defeats its practicality, basically is "crying about it" you said, pfft... I guess aeons of straight-out edges on productive gadgets, tools and other flat screens now are out of stock of enough warped reasons not to adopt curved edges because why not? I mean there are enough two candy bar spaces in the middle to go by. The edges at this point are insignificant, right? That's your logic.

Samsung isn't some small company struggling to get a new design right on their first try.
They are a big shot conglomerate perfectly capable to deliver a brand new, refined, ground breaking & exciting design E V E R Y Y E A R.
Except due to the current lack of competition and the yet-to-be-filled Huawei shoes, they simply don't have to.
And you're naively taking this despicable lazyness as a "If it's not broken don't fixt it" situation. Us consumers are absolutely not getting ANY good out of this situation.

Oh, you mean the critically despised design that we all agree is a major downgrade compared to the frame-shared camera-bump of the S21U ?
Why would they keep that ? This is just plain lazy, especially considering the Camera will be vastly different than this year's.
But without significant competition they don't have to bother with making any changes, they can just micro-wave existing stuff even if it's not any great.
I hate that, this is lazy, boring, Samsung thinkin' we're gonna be buying their microwaved burrito because there's nothing else in the fridge.

Apple and Samsung can afford to be lazy again in the ultra/premium tiers because there's really no competition. Other Asian brands have limited distribution. I expect Apple and specially Samsung to release nearly the same devices in two or three year cycles. Another brand has to take up the challenge again like Huawei did. An example of how politics enables/stifles innovation.
