Anonymous, 28 Aug 2022JBL cs100 is much better in every aspect .. this one ridi... moreI agree it's a bit big compared to JBL cs100 but they're extremely light weight. you won't even feel you're wearing them at some times. Also while comparing this with JBL's don't even get started on the build quality, this is far better than the cs100 . Plus they have magnetic back which are actually functional . The music taste would be a personal choice , this has a bit warmer side compared to others in this price range .

JBL cs100 is much better in every aspect .. this one ridiculously big for no reason .. not everyone wants to carry that much weight in their ear. Besides I don't think this will have balanced qualities. It's for hormonal teenagers looking for goofy bass and "brand"

It was launched in mid 2018

Over past 30 years I used A LOT of headphones, I loved collecting them starting from popular sony going though medicore but hyped skullcandy ending in almost hand made studio headphones made by companies in germany that I got from people working in music studios.
And you know what headphones had best sound(balanced, clear and with good soundstage).... some JVC that I bough for 30 bucks, I used them so much that I cant even read model number on them.
Of course build quality was cheap, pads get messed after 2 years, cable was not robust it was all plastic not fancy wood and metal like in Monolith or Beyerdynamic but you buy headphones for show or for sound quality? that's the question.
Most of people that buy studio headphones for showing off and talking about them. They go for some overpriced Sennheiser, Roland or Avantone as they are fancy and everyone know them. They are ok but overpriced as they put more effort on look than balancing sound.
People that have no ear for music at all go for Bose, beats or other medicore quality stuff.
But if you want good sound and dont care about build quality or materials, most good stuff you find under brands that deal with audio for long time and dont really build their modern brand on marketing like all those annoying hip-hop branded stuff. Its good to check brands like AKG, JVC, Koss even some cheaper Sony and mentioned Sennheiser have nice sound in their low end list.... unless you go for look... Then you spend more time bragging about brand name and price than actually listening to music.

If sound quality is very important for you and you aren't a basshead forget about regular earphones/tws or headphones and buy in ear monitors.

For someone looking for good audio quality anything below $40 is not worth buying. They should release some studio headphones as well
