i wokr in a mobile phone retail shop in the UK and were having a fair few of these coming back non working out of the box oddly? hope its just a batch issue and nothing more as the market waited long enough for the 6a!

It's even worse when the Pixel 6a is already warm before charging...could easily get over 2H45 for 0-100%.
If you want to charge the Pixel 6a juste after heavy tasks, the battery is already like 42°C or more it get less than 5% after one hour...

The Android Freak, 29 Aug 2022iPhone this year will charge at 30Watts.Well, even the iPhone 13 Pro Max charges at 27W. The problem (like with all iPhones) is that after 85% the battery charges very very slow. From 20% to 85% newer iPhones charge in about 45-50 minutes. But then from 85% to 100% in another 45 minutes or so. Which is pathetic.
Yeah, if you have a battery champ like the iPhone 13 Pro Max, 85% of battery can easily get you through a day. But, for other models, like iPhone 12, iPhone SE3, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 13 Mini (basically any iPhone that isn't a Pro Max model), 85% of battery can barely get you through a day (especially in heavy usage).
I know this because I had an iPhone 12 in the past (and that model is not so bad at battery; still 85% of battery didn't get me through the day on heavy usage).

Anonymous, 29 Aug 2022With its performance, you really don't notice it. I ca... moreTotal BS. I came from a 60Hz iPhone 12. And when I moved back to Android phones with 120Hz refresh rate, the Android phones feel buttery smooth. Smoother than iPhone 12, when scrolling.
So yeah, the human eye can get used to 60Hz in time, but don't tell me there is no difference between 60Hz and 120Hz. That is completely not true.

I can live with 60Hz (sort of), if the phone is smooth enough. But that 18W charging speed looks unappealing to me.
Is one if the big reasons I will stay away from iPhones and their 100-120 minutes to charge the battery (no matter the model and the charger used). Until they will move to USB-C.
I mean, c'mon, even Samsung mid-range and flagship phones nowadays charge in about 60 minutes. And I am pretty sure the batteries are super safe for 2 years of usage.
Why Google or Apple need 100-120 minute to charge their batteries? Pathetic for 2022 levels.

Is having small, ancient imx363 camera sensor not a problem?!
Is having overheating, battery consuming, Samsung made Tensor chip not a problem?!

C'mon price is decided by companies as their wish and as their choice.
6a should be 30-35k that's ethical.
U can go with realme , xiaomi, Nokia XR20, moto edge etc for the same price🤪🤪🤪🤪
