DaFink, 29 Aug 2022I get what you are saying and I know what Apple mean by ‘18... moreNo no, I mean actually full day, 24 hours. I usually charge it either in the morning when I wake up and do the same next day in the morning or I do it in the evenings before I go to sleep and repeat it next day in the evening, depending on what works better for me. But like I said, GPS is not a priority for me and I hardly ever use it. It's probably the biggest battery drain anyway which is why I get full 24 hour day with only 85% charge. Maybe different for heavy GPS users and 18 hours isn't quite "a day" then.

SShock, 29 Aug 2022I get a full day out of it and I only charge it to around 8... moreI get what you are saying and I know what Apple mean by ‘18 hours’ is a full days use. It’s just that for me a single day for a smartwatch just doesn’t cut it.
I know the Apple Watch does a ton more than any other smartwatch with multiple days worth of battery life. Personally though, I would gladly sacrifice some of what I consider excessive and redundant functionality of the Apple watch for the possibility of considerably better battery life.
Maybe some day Apple will do a ‘lite’ style variant of it, with only the core features and a battery that can go for 5-6 days, If so, then I’ll be all in. Untill then I’ll stick with something like the FitBit Sense, because I consider that to be almost the perfect compromise between the features I’d expect a smartwatch to have, with decent battery life.

DaFink, 29 Aug 2022As always I'll be interested in the Apple Watch only w... moreI get a full day out of it and I only charge it to around 85%. Granted, I don't use GPS, just usual notifications and convenience stuff like reminders, calculator and quite regular SoundHound/Shazam lookups. Oh and I use AOD, but without wrist activation since it's not needed.
I did find a neat trick with Shortcuts "Automation" feature. I've set schedule for my watch to activate DND and Theater Mode, which automatically turns off AOD function over night as well as enables Do Not Disturb. This way, if I charge it before bed, it hardly loses any % till morning.
I think main issue is all the gyro magic it constantly measures and all the processing power it uses to display fully customized watch faces and complications is what eats all the power and I don't think there is any easy way to get around this. I got used to daily charging and it's not annoying, though longer life on single charge is always welcome.

Anonymous, 29 Aug 2022Why are you crying? Try to write better comment people will... moreI don't give a damn if I get upvoted lol. I'm not obsessed with big numbers like you folks are. More RAM, more CPU cores, more storage, more upvotes. How basic are you lol? Craving for attention much?

As always I'll be interested in the Apple Watch only when they move beyond the ridiculous 'up to 18 hours' battery life.

Calling people "brain washed" (you can't even spell that right) and then continuing how they are overpriced, kinda implies that without you saying it explicitly.

I don't know where you managed to bring up "other" smartwatches. I literally NEVER commented on them. Like, ever in this thread. Also, this is about Apple Watch if you haven't noticed. Of course I'm talking about um Apple Watch?

[deleted post]Wow, you really got me here. Being so desperate that you go after my number of comments and number of likes I get. Because that totally has any indication of anything. Even more so when you're Anon and one can't even judge you for the same metrics. Oh, you have thousands of comments and literally zero likes. Wow, you must really be terrible. I mean, I can't see it so how can I tell. Lets just assume things the same way you did lol

SShock, 28 Aug 2022You have reading comprehension problem? I literally told no... moreNo 44mm watch is better than Apple 44mm watch for comfort zone? You're joking lol. There every mid range to premium watches are more comfortable with more natural position than Apple watch. Which has the least watch alike touching points to the wrist break. Otherwise it's just your opinion.

SShock, 28 Aug 2022It doesn't. My 44mm Apple Watch 5 isn't getting i... moreYou have sight problem? Surely we weren't talking about 44 mm. It's 47 mm. For Apple like rectangular shape it's problem. Regular round shape never have the same tension on breaking wrist like Apple. Red Beast is the example of that, yet not good feeling as 43 or 44 mm. Haven't you read school biology?
