More evidence surfaces that the iPhone 14 Pro duo will support 30W chargers

A third-party marker is allegedly distributing 30W GaN chargers for testing with the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.

Awesome, Apple is the best. 30 Watts is the absolute maximum for a small device such as a phone.

      I have a weird feeling that when Apple switches to USB-C on the iPhone they will stop shipping cables in the box as a last big troll. 🤣

None of them reach advertis... moreIt's almost like you're all just tripping on big numbers (oh the surprise) and don't actually understand how charging works. No phone that advertises 250W actually charges at that rate from 0% to 100%. It's always just a very short peak at that rate and the rest is much slower.

            If phone is entirely disposable and you just care how fast it charges, then it's great, but it's terrible for long term battery life.

              Can you send us a video that Xiaomi phones are indeed charging at much slower speeds?

Rather, only offer wireless charging for the iPhone. This will solve their EU regulation issue.

This is why you keep seeing that metric advertised for phone charging specs. It's more useful. Especially since the battery size varies.

                    Specs aren't everything. iPhone's 30W will be faster than every other implementation in the competition because apple has that level of control and optimisation. Just like how the 60hz iPhone is smoother than the 120hz pixel.

                      Not even for second.
                      120W out of xiaomi has peak of 70W.

                      Does not matter if brand advertises 10 W, 30W, 60W or 300W.
                      If brand says 10W, make sure it is 10W.
                      If brand says 30W, make sure it has 30W.
                      If brand says 300W, make sure it has 300W.

                      Not 70-80% of what it is advertised.
