Almost full specs for the M5 and a few details about the M5s have been outed alongside the brand's reveal of the event date.

And even worse is the decision to go backwards in performance, to gain efficiency in chipsets. Your focus on efficiency should be on displays only, as displays are biggest battery hogs.

I'll tell you what I mean:- All electronic components consume battery differently. If this chipset consumes 10% lesser energy, it will only translate to 2-3% in real life, which is your 1 day battery rising up to give 1 day and 29 minutes, that's it.
Display matters lot more. Chipset doesn't matter that much in 1 generation upgrade.

But they aren't doing it "smartly" because smartphone sales are in decline because people aren't buy these garbage phones. Manufacturers thought they were being smart but their sales say otherwise. And they still haven't learned. As if removing headphone jack and micro SD wasn't bad enough now they're removing chargers from the box and 4K video recording from phones costing up to €430 for example the Sony Xperia 10 IV

The midrange and budget segments in particular have really gone backwards. The reason is simple. Manufacturers think we're all stupid and think they can rip us off.

              Meanwhile global smartphone sales are in significant decline. And its not the war in Ukraine or inflation that's stopping people buying phone's, it's that people aren't as stupid as manufacturers think we are and won't buy a new phone that's worse than our current one

                    At first, it was medium level
                    Then 7 series arrived above 6 series.
                    And now, even the non flagship using 8 series.
                    So, the 6 series is downgraded even more.

                        A lot of manipulation is happening in industry, I'm trying to understand it.
                        Recently, Snapdragon 695 launched with no 4K record capability (6 yr old SD625 had it) and I was like wtf.

                            I'm convinced that development has stopped, maybe by an industrial level conspiracy of some kind.
                            Performance is now being reduced, or increased slightly only.

                            G99 is a joke of an upgrade, a minor CPU bump with a major setback to raw GPU performance compared to G95, are you kidding me?

                            And most of the modern companies are choosing such rubbish hardware now... fooling youth with so called new models, but not higher performance mostly.

                              Cortex A76 is old and i wont be suprised if next year they start to appear in sub $100 devices.

                                The only significant upgrade you can get in this price point is sd 695 phones which use Cortex A78 cores. You will get around 40% perfomance boost in cpu,
