Don't know why I feeding into this argument but here goes..

It's the toxic culture that's going around the internet. Apple have created a group of fans who think they are saints, and are biased towards them, and certain Android users are insecure about this and think it's cool to poke fun for attention. Fanboys be fanboys. They never change.

Using the same engine for all web browsers means a single choice or no choice and a single point of failure. If the engine has a security issue, it affects the entire user base, and the users can't do anything about it. On the other hand, if different web browsers use different engines and an engine has a security issue, the users can switch web browsers to use secure engines.

            Anyway, just because a company is successful, it doesn't mean that it can't make dumb decisions.

So when you download Chrome for example, you are not actually downloading Chrome as you know it but more of a re-skinned Safari that Google has managed to make look and behave as much like the original Chromium based Chrome as they possibly can.

              Now that may indeed sound dumb to some anonymous poster on some random website, but to the massively successful Apple it would appear to make quite a bit of sense.

I went with iOS because I was so disappointed with privacy policies on Android as well as just absolutely sad software support. iOS is the opposite of that. If you don't see it that way, then that's your problem. Most likely because you haven't actually used it for more than 10 seconds...
