        Yet the development & design of the X30, alongside every release from HMD except for the retro dumbphones & maybe 9 Pureview // 8 // 8 Scirocco was done by chineses ODMs.
        Not a single drop of finnish design or development in that X30 I'm afraid.

        So yeah, FairPhone remains your only option, if you're willing to sacrifice cameras, peformance & design in the name of sustainability.

        Don't take me wrong, I'm a long-time fan of the Nokia brand. But it's long gone by now.
        HMD are simply milking what they can out of the name, by putting it on average china-developped & designed phones, and asking Nokia money for them.

        I guess they're gonna do just that until there's nothing left. Like many I think their Nokia licence should've been revocated a long time ago, but that's just business I guess.

The majority of phones are designed and produced by ODM's but it's still doesn't mean that they all have the same financial possibilities to offer all for nothing. People became so demanding that they want it all, they want it yesterday and if possible for free. Not so long ago (1990's) you paid twice the current price of a premium phone for something that could only do phone calls and maybe some texting.

              imtiredokay, 01 Sep 2022The problem is even Samsung being called "oVeRpRicEd&q... morePoint taken but HMD is not even one tenth of what Samsung is so their budget is not comparable. Samsung makes profit out of every phone they sell, even from their budget offerings. But to be really profitable they rely heavily on the premium tier devices to feed the bank account. HMD does not have that luxury. Xiaomi took some years before it became profitable and because they flooded the market with a shitload of devices. A strategy that was possible back then but a lot less obvious for recent OEM's as there are too many players doing as such. Oh well, luckily there is plenty of choice (too much maybe) for any preference.

                      A Snapdragon 765 not ideal either
                      Really needs a Snapdragon 870

                      At the asking price and global wants for the Nokia x30
                      Your looking at Snapdragon 800 series phones There's a lot of flagship killers with Snapdragon 870

                      Adding the changers cost on top of the phone only makes it a even worse deal

                        rizki1, 02 Sep 2022If you never use Xiaomi phone you are lie.Former Xiaomi user here. Used to own Redmi 8 and Poco M3 before, never again. Definitely never recommend cheap Xiaomi phones unless if they are into custom ROMs.

                            But $530 and very veak chip no.

The X30 doesn't have a headphone jack or micro SD. I've seen a video review that confirms this. The lack of 4k video is hmds fault. They chose to use that SOC. Qualcomm didn't force them to 🤣🤣
