That's why Apple is ahead of every other manufacturers. This update is basically a security update for older devices (kind of discontinued ones).
And on Android side companies didn't even provide promised updates.
They treat phones like use and throw. Android's life is just 2-3 years and flagships phones extending to 3-4 years. That's it.
