        4.2 for z ! really !!! sony mobiles welcome back to 2013.
sony ? paid /unpaid/ self appointed fanboys -- doing war dances on heads harm sony .. all tech progress in mobiles is very welcome .. NOW- to make proper use of HIGH TECH HANDSETS LIKE SONY Z- LARGER MONTHLY DATA PACKAGES ARE NEEDED FROM NETWORKS cost effectively ..sony and other handsets makers are rocketting in 2013 ..but networks need to keep pace ..

Seriously people, this phone has a few minor issues, but it is a design masterpiece. It is water and dust resistant people. The software is getting better and better, and as yet can not utilise the full hardware capability. The only issue with all smartphones is the battery. There seems to be a trend toward modest battery power increases, & non-removeable. Coincidence or deliberate????

Lets get something straight here, contrast has nothing to do with sharpness but appeal. Its all about colour saturation meaning the screen has lighter colours, that's all. If you cant live with that then don't buy, but trust me lighter or darker screen is not a deal breaker in my opinion cos in real life you won't even notice it for a screen with 1080p plus currently this is the king of benchmark and you also get water/dust resistance. I think sony will dominate this phone war as soon as they fix there minor screen flaws. Long live play Long live sony.

Anonymous, 19 Feb 2013Again another B S samsung fan who cant buy Xperia z complai... moream certainly not a Samsung fan and am not bashing Sony, my comment was going out to the people who were saying it's not coming with the latest OS I was saying in general its better for the oem to optimise the OS better than to rush it like Samsung do and end up buggy

I guess Sony should solve the photo quality issue in Xperia Z. The captured photos are not sharp & less detail comparing to iPhone 5 or even Galaxy S3.

Another problem, the built-in mobile BRAVIA engine does not help to improve the resolution or viewing experience in photo or video during web browsing.

Even the iPhone 5 (RETINA) or even Galaxy S3 (Super AMOLED) give better resolution or viewing experience than Xperia Z.

Then it is better to hold on the purchase until it actually get JB 4.2 update & prove to be stable.

Anyway this is only coming to my country next month, HTC Butterfly too look interesting but overpriced, cost as much as Note2, hopefully Sony isn't as big headed.
