It was just a static piece of glass, but when you pressed it, the thing clicked like it was a physical moving button. I actually double checked and looked at it from the side to see if it moves or not. It didn't move. Yet it clicked like it moved. Just astounding.
Can't wait for haptic feedback when typing on keyboard in iOS 16 (I assume we're getting it tomorrow, it's usually a day after fall keynote). A bit late, but boy it'll feel great for sure with Taptic.

Who cares, all anyone cares is that phone speakers have full sound and can reproduce actual bass. Which most can't and sound like a tin can at the end of the rope.

Bluetooth5.0 protocols are not required for SATNAV/Gramin based phones, UX thing, gives 6.0 and SIM worthy Wifi

it is! Have you tried to scroll the alarm clock time while having system Taptic Feedback on. It's really something how precise it is, it feels like wheel of fortune!
This is perfect example about Apple putting lot of effort for tiny details.

Also, iphone speakers sound like trash and artificial, the little amount of bass is sacrificed with a heavy 500hz dip that make them sound very unbalanced and they lack in the 12kHz+ region too. An asus zenfone 8/9 does this too to a certain extent but keeps it way more balanced.
The cheap jbl go will have a more linear frequency response, and if we're at that, at least compare it with the tribit stormbox micro, as soon as you increase volume, you too will notice the limit of physics and blind brand idealism.

I've been using Appl... moreI don't know why people keep saying how expensive Apple is. Based on what metric? They make it sound like everyone i selling phones for 1200€ with flagships and Apple here is selling them for 2500€. Reality is, iPhones cost the same as any other high end or flagship phone. What they erroneously do is just compare raw numbers on paper and declare iPhones are "too expensive" because they don't have the biggest numbers on paper and just ignore all the consistently great features.
Displays are always excellent on iPhones since version 4, even if they don't have biggest numbers on paper and shun it because they are just clueless. Like the display on iPhone XR where everyone has always whined about it being "just LCD with 720p resolution" and entirely ignoring it's one of the best IPS LCD displays out there with outstanding color accuracy and ridiculously deep blacks for an LCD. Resolution is entirely meaningless because it's good enough to a point it just doesn't matter. I'm not going to hunt potentially visible pixels as it's just not an issue.
And one other thing that iPhone absolutely spoiled me, haptics and sound. Taptic Engine is just out of this world amazing and my god Apple has amazing speakers. Tiny little speaker in my XR rivals a dedicated JBL GO portable speaker. Which is 5x the thickness of iPhone and is just a speaker and nothing else. Basically anything I'll ever pick below flagships will have crappy sound and even flagships from other brands are often underwhelming for what they are. With iPhones, it's basically a guarantee that it'll be great at this point.

Anonymous, 06 Sep 2022It is not about paying $1200 or $1400. You can buy a fl... morei don't know what everyone else does.. but i bought a low range £200 phone 1.5 years ago (Poco x3 pro). Its still working as new (if not better after SW updates). i have no plans to buy anything else until that stops working. i had my phone before that 5 years before the charger port wore out (and it was soldered to the mainboard and i could not get a replacement connector to fix it). Not everyone get a new phone every year or two. I'm sure there are people like me who keep it as long as possible and only buy a new one from necessity.

Wow, if its gonna be online only and not tower dependent precious trickery-box, apple should actually call it Goodlc Mac or somthin and focus on their iWatch's video streaming might talks today if its beyond 8fps we ll have a new age in technology, 1hrs of no-war and peace to mind and sprit talks, hot chicks who design chip in cad software talking, i like.

Oh and it will get updated for 5 or six years , not half finished beta software like all Android OEMs’s do. Using one for work I could never go back to laggy unreliable Android devices.
