I have a feeling they're just doing the same thing Qualcomm is doing and doing 'Gen'. If it was 'Google', then the chip's full name would be Google Tensor Google 2...
Google Tensor Gen 2 is probably the full name.

October is a bad time to launch imo. By the time the Pixels come out it's only a couple of months before the next gen Samsungs are unveiled. They should do it earlier in the year - the hardware is already behind the curve

It is time to abandon these curved screens that only serve to make the glass break faster in a fall

Would definitely consider the 7 Pro, if it eventually would come without a curved display. Who on earth ever defined that premium phones are expected to have a curved display? Tech enthusiast youtubers apparently not, which typically sigh in relief if they review a new flag ship phone having a flat display.
Come on G: curved displays are so 2015 - and definitely NOT cool!

Somehow they managed to take the already huge, obtrusive, and awkward camera hump, and make it more obtrusive and ugly. Having camera cutouts within a camera hump is like having a camera hump on a camera hump. It's mish moshing together too many different design concepts. It's pretty typical of Google, though, and other companies, to take a decent initial design and then make it ugly in the second version, just to make it different and "updated."
Anyway, it's already been confirmed that the Pixel 7 will have the same crappy Exynos modem in it, as the Pixel 6, with all of the signal issues that make it have the worst reception of any phone in a decade (according to widespread reports). So there is zero reason to get this phone, unless you plan to only use it on wifi. Perhaps Google with fix the problem with the Pixel 8, but so far they can't be bothered.
