Actually, the 6a got the patch on Monday the 13th, and the P6P is still without the update on Saturday the 17th. Google informs me that I can expect my batch of updates to happen before the end of the month. To say that I'm not happy with Google would be an understatement and a half. The October update will be here first at this rate.

atichko, 07 Sep 2022Although it's nice to see new features with each major... moreUnderstandable frustration. But tech moves so fast, habits alter quickly. Major things need baking in at a high cadence, to ensure compatibility. Also helps limit a mistake to only 1 yr

Also, upgrade cycles need to be maintained. If some didn't upgrade every year or two, the house of cards would crash. Financial reports are done yearly.

Always frustrating when the inbuilt (Samsung) Google chip seems to struggle to get the updates on time

Although it's nice to see new features with each major release but why this focus of Google and Apple on having a new version each year? Both platforms have similar issues at launch and the user is the victim of this policy. Each year you have to hope/wait for patches/bugfixes before there is some stability. Please Google/Apple, take your time and release something less beta. I prefer having guaranteed monthly security patches for several years than eagerly waiting for new goodies each year. Wouldn't mind having only one major release every two years.
