The phone costs nearly the same as the Mark 3 did last year, but some choices by Sony don't quite justify the price tag, according to many voters.

For Sony to still stick to their terrible software support, providing one OS upgrade (a year late) and then abandoning the phone, is unacceptable at this price point

      I love Sony approach to not cut hardware BUT the price was allmost double Zenfone 8 and since then the price of Asus have fallen and Xperia 5 mark IV is even more expensive since i've bought Asus (something like November 2021). Also software support is far too short for this price.

Neccesary it could be called if manufa... moreYes, I remember durable screens, or better said durable screen covers... they were of about 2" in size, glass was several milimeters from the display itself, visibility poor, quality terrible, and phone had the size of a small brick. Never more, don't thank you.
                  And once screens became larger, they were prone to scratches, cracking, or any other damage, no matter what you tried.
                  But since none of your beloved brands makes good quality phones, and you are so poor you can't buy anything better, you have to hate the best.

                    you can have S22 with trade in bonus for half price, good luck competing with that even for people who wanna compact phone (not that 155mm length would be compact any way you look at it)

                        The thing is Sony phone drop price so fast, Xperia 5 iii already dropped to 600 euro in my country, but then at that time you would be struggle with choosing the V or the IV dilemma, and if you pick iv u only left with a one year update, but being android mean custom ROM is a thing. SONY really need to pick the right SOC on V like skipping the 8+ and putting a Gen2 consider how slow they roll out their phone.

                          I'm still loving my rooted XZ1 custom ROM Android 11. I can't see me upgrading until Sony goes back to making quality phones again and stop the silly 21:9 aspect ratio too.

These countries are not China, in case you failed geography too Anonymous Lkg. Mi 12T Pro is expected to start at 500 euro, according to insiders I talked with.

                            Why big differences in price between Asian countries and Europe? You should use your remaining brain to think about different tax structures and currency exchange rate before spewing the same diatribes over and over.

                              Even i can afford whathewer i want and really dont need to think twice about its cost i rather buy something cheaper but with same performance and gives some money to the poor.
                              I always was like this.
                              OSome phones at price level of 300-400 does exactly same job or are even better than some flagship grade devices.
                              And no flagship grade device is worth its money because all of them costed 1/3 price to make of what your casual vendor asks for it.

                                Meanwhile, I can see why one need to use their Sony Xperia 1iv or 5iv phone while charging cos 80% will need at least 1 hour.

                                  Neccesary it could be called if manufacturer company IE samsung gives includes it in warranty.
                                  Since this will never happens IPXX resistance is nothing just costly gimmick same goes for GG victus etc.
                                  In past phones had no screen protection and were much more durable than screens of today.

                                    By the other way not long time ago Xiaomi unveiled big block which was a wireless charger capable of charging up to 200 devices at range of 25 metres.
                                    So if a wired option means overheating wireless options will be pretty fine.

Not everything they do is successful, but generally they don't do the same thing over and over again. Most Nintendo consoles are very different from each other: motion control (Wii), dual screens (DS), stereoscopic 3D without glasses (3DS), a controller with a screen (Wii U), and a hybrid console (Switch).

                                        On the other hand, PS2 is a more powerful PS, PS3 is a more powerful PS2, PS4 is a more powerful PS3, and PS5 is a more powerful PS4. I believe you can guess what the PS6 will be.
