          And yes, again, an item SHOULD (must?) have a good design if the makers want to sell it a lot, and that's perfectly normal !

Hopefully that is the case. I think having the regular model with a flat screen makes sense. The auxiliary cameras on the regular model (10,11,12,12s) have been very poor for the last few generations. A flat screen would save around 400rmb. If this is spent on the camerasthere could potentially be a significant upgrade to the ultrawide and maybe a telephoto could be included. This would be similar to Huawei's approach where they give a flat screen on regular models but with proper camera setups
