walkman8, 12 Sep 2022And Apple is a charity? You have to pay for life emergency ... moreYou're greatly exaggerating things to almost absurd levels.
Satellite SOS thing costs money because satellite bandwidth is not free, in fact it's a very expensive commodity, which is why Apple only allows message style SOS signal. Why do you think satellite phones and their service is so expensive? Because of that.
Pay for wallpapers? Whaaaat? You can use ANY image or photo. From anywhere, for free. Blaming Apple for your apparent incompetence to stick any image as wallpaper is kinda not their fault.
The eSIM thing is silly and as European, I don't like it how it'll become a standard for us too soon, but it was bound to happen sooner or later, it's just sooner than later...
Charging cable is included, so I don't know what you're on about. Lack of charger is silly, but a lot of brands are doing it now and blaming Apple for all of them is also silly.
Good apps cost money on Android too and most of them are plagued by horrid ad banners all over the place or worse, spawn notifications on home screen. There are still plenty of free apps on iPhones. I rather pay a small fee for good app than be plagued by annoying ads. But that's just me.
As for ads in Weather and App Store, you're straight up lying. There is NO ads in Weather app and App Store is no different than GooglePlay. It's not annoying ads, it's just promotion sections and new apps highlights and stuff. You're making it like it's some annoying ads where in reality, it's just how ALL app stores work, be it on Android, Windows or iOS.

NNUEchessAH, 12 Sep 2022I’ve been thinking this for a month,i think i should go to ... moreAnd Apple is a charity? You have to pay for life emergency feature 2 years later. Pay for half-decent wallpapers. Pay for roaming if you are from US and have the misfortune of having e-sim only iphone. Pay for charging cable.
Every half decent app costs money.
And that's not even enough, Apple forces you with ads in weather app, app store and all other first-party apps as of ios 16. And there's no option to disable it unlike on Android.
It's like you bought a basic BMW that's equipped as poorly as cheap Dacia (but costs as much as several Dacias),but in order to have BMW-like experience, you have to pay buckload of money for additional equipment, color and special services (for instance, up until early 2010s BMW had the balls to sell some cars without preinstalled air conditioning!).

I hope the fingerprint sensor is on back camera, easy to access without movement with index finger.
They bring back led notifications
and eye scanner can work in dark too....

I’ve been thinking this for a month,i think i should go to iOs leaving the world of Android Os. Samsung and other android brand is not around for the customer sake is they just there for the money of there customers. I’d rather pick NVMe than 4.0 UFS in the future. In fact iPhone 15 and 16 is getting much better than the future of android phones.

So this is a smaller 200MP sensor with biger aperture than the one used on Motorola Edge 30 Ultra. It's gonna be interesting to see the difference.

She explains ... moreI don't know who she is but if she happened to be an electrical engineer working for Samsung, her explanation would make some sense. In fact, Samsung's product pages for GN5 and GN2 also suggest that Dual Pixel Pro is implemented in totally different ways on these sensors.
The former has horizontally cut R & B pixels and vertically cut G pixels to detect phase differences in 2 directions, whereas the latter has obliquely cut G pixels, which would probably struggle to collect photons quite a bit more given how tiny these pixels are.
And don't worry, Weibo didn't ask me for a log-in this time :)

Nick Tegrataker, 12 Sep 2022Incorrect. Unlike Sony or OmniVision, Samsung never produce... moreThere is a massive drawback to Sony's quad pixel autofucus design tho! Because each microlens covers four pixels of the same color, each of them only receives the partial view of the scene, so those pixels cannot capture a fine level of micro contrast like how a normal quad bayer sensor does. Take a look at imx766 for example. All 50MP shots from that sensor lack in details and barely look any better than those taken at 12MP.
Samsung is being clever by using a traditional dual pixel or sparse PDAF on all sensors and avoiding the possible resolution loss.

Anonymous, 12 Sep 2022Well, sorry to inform. But only advantage of GN2 over GN... moreIncorrect. Unlike Sony or OmniVision, Samsung never produced a sensor that has the 2x2 OCL design. GN2 and GN5 still use Dual Pixel Pro, which is a variant of dual pixel AF that can detect both vertical and horizontal phase differences. IMX989 and IMX707 (on 12S Ultra and Pro, respectively), on the other hand, use the conventional dual pixel design.

Samsung gg, Camera is a big part of what people are going to be looking for. Xiaomi has 200MP, so way to get ahead of other companies like Apple. Although your hardware is good you do need to work on your software though.
