Ohi, 13 Sep 2022Wow, iOS sends updates to all of their eligible devices on ... moreit's not hard to update a bunch of devices that run the same hardware base code, android updates just as effectively across all supported pixels. you just want to highlight the 'slowness' of other companies to re-write the os for their hardware like people try to do with windows.

SShock, 13 Sep 2022Stop spreading BS.can't be a non-question when there is a load of articles on this site alone about the snooping code they built into the last version. so to ask whether it is still there is valid an something the guys here should also be highlighting again for people who appreciate privacy and displaying the hypocrisy of saying were adding privacy features yet we can still spy on you.

SShock, 14 Sep 2022ASUS stuffed headphone jack into Zenfone 9, a 5,9" pho... moreAnd what was compromise of adding it?

"Just be aware that the phone is less convincing in the software update space, lacks wireless charging, and has a camera package closer to more budget fare than the best affordable flagships."

Do you now see it? Just what i said, adding one feature means removing something because the space inside phone is limited and companies need to think what are the parts what makes best overall experience.

Anonymous, 14 Sep 2022We all know that Apple is showing us where the mobile marke... moreIt's only heading in that direction if all the companies are spineless sheep. At NO point Apple forced any of these lame spineless copycat companies to follow their trends. No one forced Samsung to remove memory card slots and headphone jack just because Apple did. So, I don't know why they all do it. Someone who finds it convenient to use TWS earbuds over wired ones wouldn't care if jack is there or not. But BT connectivity is always there, jack isn't.

And the internal space excuse, sure, you lose some, but I'm sure everyone would sacrifice 50mAh battery capacity for a headphone jack option. I may not need it, but it sometimes can come in handy. So, why not have it? It's absurd that cheap budget phones have all the options and features and "premium" ones are bunch of lame compromises. Why? Makes no sense.

Space inside phone is limited, if they would do that they had to remove something which is inside their phone now and they might lose the competition by doing that.

Grey Wolf, 14 Sep 2022Sadly, it may be true. But, it will make my future smartpho... moreWireless is a nice OPTION, but being forced to only charge with wireless, not so much. But I think it will happen with iPhones quite soon and I'm not exactly happy about it even though I have Qi charger already and use it sometimes.

What baffles me the most is, why is everyone insisting on these silly trends Apple sets. What's stopping flagships from other brands from also including headphone jack, memory card slot and just pocket all the users who demand it and also users who don't necessarily need it. We've seen phones with high water resistance even with jacks so that's no excuse. And people who prefer wireless earbuds will still be able to use them while everyone who prefer wired could still pick that phone. Someone who prefers wireless buds will keep on using them no matter what anyway, so it's not like people will suddenly flock to buy wired earbuds again, especially when decent but cheap earbuds can be had for price of wired ones (I have SoundPeats TrueAir 2 that were like 25€ and sound amazing for the price). It would literally be a market shift for that brand now that everyone is going portless as much as possible.

I mean, imagine Galaxy S23 Ultra bringing back headphone jack as well as memory card slot. It would just wipe out any and all competition and it would suddenly become the only option because no other flagship has this anyway, apart from ASUS and Sony which are both very niche and both rubbish with software...

Anonymous, 14 Sep 2022seriously u call that premium feature ?? It is mostly only available on high-end mobile devices like Samsung Galaxy S series or Google Pixel devices. I think the Galaxy A5 (2017) was the first of Samsung's Galaxy A series to get Always on Display, maybe you should watch GSMArena's video review.
