    GFX Manhattan ES 3.0 (offscreen 1080p)
    Xiaomi 12 Pro: 249 fps
    Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max: 256 fps

    Which is just a 2.7% difference. 2 point 7!

    While gaming phones even beat it, by a bigger margin at that:
    ZTE Nubia Red Magic Pro 7: 267 fps

    Now who's making imaginary claims?

        It's also funny how you all always throw ANTUTU around which is heavily GPU focused benchmark, yet you all apply it as if it was CPU focused like Geekbench is.

          Just take a look at cinebench results or 3d modeling rendering times, 3d mark, as well as offscreen gaming fps and you will see that the difference is much smaller than the bogus geekbench numbers, if any. (And if we take PCs and notebooks into account, apple is definitely nowhere ahead, comparing current generations, at the same price point. They might have a huge video encoding engine but that's it)

          People should stop using a benchmark created by an apple fanbase and treat it as the holy grail for performance comparisons..

I hope SD 8 Gen 2 will just keep the SD 8+ Gen 1 performance and just focus on lowering power usage dramatically. That would be super sweet.

                    Is good that they managed to increase the GPU performance. CPU performance was already good enough. Even an A12 or A13 chip is perfectly usable in 2022. The same like in Android. I used a SD865 Samsung in 2022 for short time, and the phone was perfectly and smooth in every task.
                    Coming back to A16, I think the future owners of iPhone 14 Pro series will appreciate this bump up in GPU performance. Hopefully the SD8 gen 2 from next year will be at similar level.

                      Face ID unlocks 100% times in the dark, Face ID doesn't care if it's dark or not, stop spreading lies. If you can't get Face ID work in dark it just means you put your phone too close to your Face so it can't measure your Face, exact same thing would happen in daylight too, nothing to do with darkness.

                        To beat iPhone's A15 / A16..
                        Android 8+gen 1 / 8Gen1 have to:
                        1. Consume nearly double the wattage
                        2. Make heatsink and a huge phone.
                        3. Move the CPU to the middle of the phone, so they can put a active cooler when gaming to prevent throttling. While making it easy to bend and break (ie.. the ROG phone)

                        iPhone pity Android, so added the following handicap.
                        1. Double folded PCB board iPhone Pro series. So to increase heat retention.
                        2. Do not even need a A16 in the normal series, just do the above improvement from Android did the previous year.

                        And yet see the results.. they are so hair-line difference. Such great shame to Androids flagships. (note: flagship!.. If its mid range Android SoC.. Not even a competition)
