ambanimodiadani, 13 Sep 2022why is every manufacturing plant going to Gujarat only? The previous MVA government must have had issues with kickbacks and very poor clearances. They pushed the ambitious Indian Bullet Train project by 2.5 years, and pushing up costs substantially. They did the same with the Mumbai Metro, causing severe cost escalations. Its possible that the deal did not develop since it was first spoken about, and it was merely vapourware until now.

Good move. Hopefully it also launches India's own semiconductor industry. Some of the biggest names in tech are Indians, so it's expected that they move to the semiconductor industry too.

Is this the same FoxCONn that took a boatload of tax payer funded benefits via agreements from the state of Wisconsin as a political campaign stunt for constructing a display manufacturing plant and then buggered off quietly into the night after downsizing the whole scope of the project to a basic minuscule sham just to keep face?
Not the same FoxCONn right? Especially not before an election season in the state in question right?? Not with kickbacks from tax payer funded sops right???
